Elizabeth McLean AIA
Elizabeth McLean is an associate principal and architect who specializes in the design and delivery of large-scale academic facilities with complex programs. She is skilled at thinking holistically and intentionally to create designs that are sensitive to place, material, and craft.
An empathetic leader, Elizabeth is passionate about promoting justice and equal access for the communities she serves. She prioritizes sustainability in all of her decisions and she works to create a dialogue with her clients, to help them understand the process and ensure their needs are being met. In every project, her goal is to connect to and express the richness of the place with the needs of the people who will use it.
Outside the firm, Elizabeth teaches architectural studios at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Her passion for architecture is embodied through her volunteer work and active membership professional organizations such as AIA and NOMA.
