We offer both in-office and flexible work opportunities, as well as summer internships and student externships

Employee Well-Being

The best way to support engaged employees is through a healthy and positive workplace. Employees are encouraged to pursue their interests and passions through various committees and firm-sponsored social events. From the maker fair to our annual collaboration week and wellness activities, such as monthly yoga and cardio classes, we support our employees’ diverse interests. We offer a culture that encourages creative thinking and collaboration. We also bring our dogs to work on Fridays.

Employee-Owned Firm

Ayers Saint Gross is a 100% employee-owned design firm, which means every employee at Ayers Saint Gross is also an owner. In 2013, the firm formed an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) to sustain the culture and values of the firm while sharing the responsibility and benefits of firm success. After six years of service at Ayers Saint Gross, employees become 100% vested within the ESOP and are recognized in our annual vesting ceremony. Each year, employees learn more about employee ownership through educational programs and ESOP initiatives. As employee owners, we are all invested in the firm’s long-term success. When we win, we win together.

We believe in the power of community and are committed to helping our friends and neighbors thrive. Every year, we donate time, money, and in-kind contributions to a range of social, educational, and cultural programs impacting our local communities. By partnering with schools and educational programs, we work to build a pipeline of design professionals who will shape the built environment as a career path. Thanks to volunteer initiatives including our annual Jim Wheeler Month of Service, we serve our communities with organizations like the Baltimore Design School, Beechfield Elementary School, the Neighborhood Design Center, and United Way. Our goal is to create meaningful and long-lasting changes to build a better future.
