Katy Potts is an associate principal and architect whose work sits at the intersection of design, data, and student success. She has more than two decades of experience in higher education design, including as a practicing architect and an on-staff college and university planner. A trusted leader in space analytics and strategy, she guides institutions through some of their most pressing challenges – space management, hybrid work, evolving student needs, and the role of physical environments in supporting non-traditional learning.
Katy enjoys creating learning environments that are vibrant and accessible, where people genuinely want to spend their time. She leverages data to help clients understand how classrooms are really used, including possible improvements that can better support student success. She finds it energizing to empower campus leaders with the tools they need to be long-term classroom advocates.
