Cooper Melton AIA
Cooper Melton has devoted more than 20 years of design practice to housing communities and student life facilities. With his ability to conceptualize and implement design at all phases of the process, he has steered a number of successful and award-winning projects to completion. His holistic design philosophy transcends aesthetics and functionality, emphasizing meaningful and inclusive campus environments that elevate student success and wellbeing.
With thoughtful and strategic design leadership, Cooper works collaboratively with campus and community stakeholders to align design outcomes with an institution’s mission and vision. He finds it most rewarding to see the positive, community-building impact his work has on the lives of students. Some of his recent projects include the Alfond Commons at Colby College, the Gladding Residence Center at Virginia Commonwealth University, and the renovation of Fribley Commons at Case Western Reserve University.
