Joel Fidler AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Joel Fidler is a principal at Ayers Saint Gross with more than 25 years of experience designing and managing architectural projects. Though he has worked on projects of all sizes, from interior renovations to large-scale urban planning, he has a particular interest in neighborhood revitalization, effective placemaking, and sustainable design. Joel prides himself on taking a client-driven approach to his work and finding comprehensive design solutions uniquely tailored with their best interests in mind.
Joel is most proud of his projects that will make a meaningful impact on the lives of others or give them a new appreciation for the world around them. Some favorite projects include a series of buildings for the Maryland School for the Blind, the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington, the Sagamore Spirit Distillery and Visitor Center, and the Jack C. Taylor Visitor Center at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Joel is also passionate about increasing opportunities for underrepresented populations in the field of architecture. As the president of AIA Maryland in 2019, he helped elevate the conversations surrounding outreach, internship opportunities, and other ways to support young people interested in joining the profession.
