Earl Purdue AIA, LEED AP
With more than 30 years of experience, Earl Purdue is a national leader in the design of health science and academic facilities for higher education clients. Earl’s passion for his work stems from his own experience working as an EMT prior to studying architecture. He enjoys supporting those in the health care profession by programming, planning, and designing cutting-edge academic environments in which current and future care practitioners can learn and hone their skills effectively.
Earl is passionate about the design process and enjoys immersing himself in campus environments to learn about their unique cultures and opportunities for growth. He believes each project should start with one distinct vision statement and he is skilled at bringing together campus stakeholders to gather input and find consensus on what that should be. A continual learner, Earl enjoys exploring ways that his designs can be more adaptive to new technologies. He attributes his professional success to having fun and staying true to himself, and his desire to make a positive impact on others. His experience includes ongoing and recent work at Johns Hopkins University, Duke University, Harvard Medical School, Auburn University, and the University of Virginia.
