Services

The Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute supports global efforts to conserve species and train conservationists. The Education and Training Center serves students and professionals attending programs ranging from a few days to a full semester. The facility combines a renovated structure for classrooms with a two-story addition for wet and dry research labs, offices, and outdoor classrooms. The design follows a Facilities Master Plan for the campus, formerly used as a U.S. Quartermaster Remount Station and horse breeding facility. Both planning and building design services were part of Ayers Saint Gross’ Indefinite Delivery and Quantities Contract with the Smithsonian Institution.
