Banyan Residence Hall

Banyan Residence Hall provides affordable, on-campus housing options for Lynn University’s second-year students. Designed in collaboration with development partner Michaels Student Living, the building includes student suites and apartments. The first phase comprises 287 beds and at full project completion will house more than 730 apartments.

Referencing the university’s distinct Florida Modern architectural style and campus identity, the stucco coated building forms are clear in their geometry, featuring glazing in key areas to prioritize daylight and views to the campus.
Forming a residential neighborhood, the buildings connect to and reinforce campus walkways, linking to the academic core. Outdoor courtyards provide space for casual gatherings, incorporating native plants, hammocks, Adirondack chairs, and a firepit.

Interior spaces include study lounges, an open-concept community center, community kitchens, and a living-learning classroom. Living areas include a staff apartment and two- and four-bedroom suites with kitchenettes.
