Greensboro Hall at Ringling College wins IIDA 2023 Premiere Finalist Award

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) recently awarded Greensboro Hall at Ringling College of Art and Design a 2023 Premiere Finalist Award. The award program recognizes design achievement and encourages new ideas in the design of interior spaces while advancing the knowledge of interior design among professionals and expanding appreciation among the public.

Designed in the style of a boutique hotel, this contemporary residence hall for undergraduate art students boasts colorful spaces for living, lounging, and the creation of art, with design themes that are inspired by the colors and patterns of the surrounding oceanic environments. With the goal of fostering student creativity, vision boards containing images of waves, oceanscapes, and underwater snapshots inspired the design of spaces that are both intimate and collaborative. The project’s success is a result of the outstanding synergy and vision that existed between the client and our design team, both sharing a mutual desire for a lively space that supports the next generation of young creatives and the ethos of living and breathing art on a daily basis.
