The National Aquarium’s Floating Wetland Prototype was recently featured as part of a Yale Environment 360 article, “How Floating Wetlands are Helping to Clean Up Urban Waters.”

Ayers Saint Gross is proud to have been a part of this initiative, when we worked with the National Aquarium and Biohabitats, McLaren Engineering Group, and Kovacs, Whitney & Associates in 2018 to design a sustainable floating wetland prototype that enhances water quality, habitat diversity, and resiliency in continuation of Studio Gang’s EcoSlip concept. The National ASLA award-winning project now serves as a durable and welcoming home for a variety of marsh shrubs, grasses, and native wildlife.
