Texas A&M University’s Sustainability Master Plan has three primary objectives: to better integrate social equity objectives with environmental and economic efforts, to balance the need for long-term structure with short- and medium-term accountability, and to advance the university’s AASHE STARS performance.

This planning effort engaged a cross-section of more than 460 students, faculty, and staff during an 11-month process to examine nine themes and develop context-specific goals, targets, and actions that support Aggies and comprehensive, campus-wide sustainability. The final plan envisions how the university will continue its sustainability leadership in alignment with physical development and policy efforts across campus. The document identifies accountable parties for each of the plan’s goals to support implementation.
