Since 2015, Ayers Saint Gross has worked with the University of Maryland Terrapin Development Company on master planning a vibrant, mixed-use innovation district at the front door of the campus called the Discovery District. Brandywine Realty Trust is developing the first major innovation project within the district, Discovery Point, which will ignite entrepreneurial spirit, commercialize technologies, and foster collaboration.

Ideally located between the edge of campus and a research park, Discovery Point has easy access to major interstates and is the site of a new Metro station, providing an important link between the residential and commercial districts of College Park. The district’s programmatic framework will support the university’s three-part mission of research, teaching, and services to the community and region with a mix of uses that include workplaces, dining, retail, housing, and other amenities.
