Ayers Saint Gross worked closely with Visit Baltimore to modify the interior of the Baltimore Visitor Center to better accommodate events. As part of this effort, the Ayers Saint Gross team designed custom, moveable literature displays/exhibits that could be stowed in the theater space during events. The team also designed illuminated signage for the information desk and restrooms. Completing the visitor center’s new aesthetic is a commissioned sculpture by a local artist, suspended from the ceiling, drawing your eyes up and celebrating the views of the city. The visitor center’s transformational functionality was immediately put to use for hosting an event for the city’s inaugural “Light City Baltimore.”
