Our 2024 Comparing Campuses poster is part of a decades-long Comparing Campuses research project, which highlights campuses from colleges and universities around the world to provide a broader view into their campus development, resilience to change, and contributions to a sustainable future. Our 2024 poster examined conditions at eight distinct campuses to learn how institutions think about and engage with various bodies of water, including wetlands, rivers, lakes, oceans, and bays.

The design team for the poster worked intentionally to build graphics that communicate the relationship between land and water at each campus, and challenge the viewer to consider past, present, and future solutions. Planning for successful water engagement benefits a campus or community environmentally and economically, while supporting public well-being.
